Are #Vintage Cookie Jars Heating Up Again As #Collectibles?

There's a quick over-view article on cookie jars on the Antique Trader. Does this mean interest in cookie jars is coming back? I hope so.

When I started collecting, I was immediately drawn to cookie jars. The market was post-Warhol-sale hot, but they were still easy to find.

I've had close to 2,000 of them over the years. I sold a lot of them for a big profit. Then the market cooled, and I sold some for a small profit. But I am definitely ahead in that particular game. And I  still have about 200 cookie jars left. I should sell them.

So here's hoping that interest increases again. I know Harry Rinker says "There are no blue-chip collectibles." But a cookie jar price rally, be it long or short, would be a good thing.

Watch this CollectorsWeekly.com page for eBay Completed Cookie Jar auctions to track prices. (Screen shot above)

Here's a fuzzy snapshot of just some of my remaining jars. I've always loved the Twin Winton cookie jars.
