Batman Beats Superman - #1 Batman Comic Book Sells for Over 1 Million Dollars

Heritage Auctions did it -- they sold the comic book with the first appearance of BATMAN for over a million dollars! That beats the recent record sale price for a comic book set by a sale of the #1 Superman.

Here's a link to LISTEN to the auction as the comic book sets a new record -- auction audio of Detective Comics #27!

See the auction listing here.

The winning bid was a hammer price of $900,000 ($1,075,500 with Buyer's Premium), and the auctioneer was Eric Thomas of Heritage.
