Springfield Extravaganza Antique Show Photos - Slideshow Video

Headed up to Findlay yesterday, to Jeffrey's Antique Gallery. Spent the afternoon browsing for treasures. Here are just a few pix of some things that kinda caught my eye. I like taking the camera, and capturing the image. I don't feel so badly, then, about not being able to buy everything. And this way I don't pay as much attention to price. Just whether or not it is striking or unusual enough for me to come around the corner and say, "Oh, that's cool".
Love this counter top metal tole painted cabinet, with the colorful birds and flowers. There is a great gear-y clock work in the center. You can barely make out the words PERFECT PANTRY stenciled on the bin front.
Now this cobalt glazed jardiniere and stand is gorgeous! I'm tempted to go back for it -- I see the perfect spot for it in my living room... But I was afraid to look at the price tag.
This rack is the kind of thing I may find at an auction. I am in love the color blue that it is painted.
I love old lithographs. This Lion with a Girl really drew me in.
This Snowman print is a repro (in an old frame) but it put me in a Christmas shopping mood.
So did this wire stand covered with vintage ornaments. I have one of these wire stands, and I think this year I will actually get around to using it to display some of my huge Christmas ornament collection.
Jeffrey's is a huge mall, 4 buildings of all kinds of goodies. I bought a Gonder figurine in the deep burgundy glaze that goes with some others I have, and a Bathing Beauty figurine which will go with my Victorian Seaside collection (when I get it back from the library, where it's on display until Nov. 1st). (pic to come)
As many times as I have been to this antique mall, I had never driven around the back side. This trip I was with a dealer friend, so we went in the back way to stock her booth. Imagine my surprise to see this lovely pond back there. And it was another glorious fall day, so here's the obligatory landscape photo. It was a fun trip, and we capped it off with an ice cream from Coldstone. Yum!
